CAD Engineer (Civil)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Civil CAD Engineer with strong technical expertise and sketching skills to support our design and visualization projects. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in civil drafting, detailing, and 3D modeling, along with the ability to translate design concepts into accurate and visually clear CAD drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and develop detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for civil and architectural projects.
• Convert conceptual sketches and layouts into precise CAD drawings.
• Support project teams in preparing design documentation, plans, and construction drawings.
• Create accurate site plans, elevations, sections, and detail drawings as per design requirements.
• Collaborate with design, architecture, and project management teams to ensure design intent and technical feasibility.
• Revise and update drawings based on feedback or design modifications.
• Maintain organized design documentation and CAD libraries.
• Use sketching (hand or digital) to communicate design concepts clearly during planning stages.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, or similar CAD software.
• Strong sketching and visualization skills (manual or digital).
• Understanding of civil and structural design principles, materials, and construction methods.
• Knowledge of drafting standards, building codes, and detailing practices.
• High attention to detail with accuracy in measurements and layouts.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in CAD drafting/design within civil or architectural domains.
• Exposure to rendering or visualization tools (SketchUp, Lumion, or similar) is an advantage.
