Buyer for Bought Out Items

Role Overview: You will be responsible for managing the process of ordering vendors based on their capability, capacity, and strategic importance. Your role will involve working in a team of buyers, where you will need to be a team player with excellent communication skills, motivational capabilities, and the ability to plan, coordinate, and lead the team effectively. Additionally, you will be involved in procurement activities for items such as Oil Skid, Auxiliaries for Turbine & Generators, Pumps, Imports, etc. Key Responsibilities: - Sending RFQs along with all technical documents received from design/quality/user to the supplier. - Compiling offers from suppliers and preparing comparative statements. - Negotiating with suppliers to ensure the best deals. - Releasing purchase orders after approval from the relevant authority as per the matrix. - Following up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials to the factory after clearance from Quality/end user. - Coordinating with new suppliers and QA team for development and supplies. - Applying knowledge of Import, Letter of Credit, License, etc., to the procurement process. - Achieving cost targets through strategic planning, resource management, and negotiations. - Utilizing hands-on experience with the SAP module, with exposure to MM & Finance modules. - Tracking all purchase requisitions and ensuring compliance with technical systems and ISO/IMS standards. Qualifications Required: - Experience in working with a team of buyers. - Familiarity with procurement of industrial items such as Oil Skid, Auxiliaries for Turbine & Generators, Pumps, etc. - Knowledge of Import, Letter of Credit, License, etc. - Experience in achieving cost targets through strategic planning and negotiations. - Hands-on experience with SAP module, particularly MM & Finance modules. - Technical proficiency in systems and knowledge of ISO/IMS standards.
