Washington started as an online bookstore, but soon diversified into many other categories, with a vision to be earths most customer-centric company & to build a place where people can come to find and discover anything they might want to buy online Amazons Fice Operations, Accounting & Analysis (FOAA) team is a fast-paced, team focused, dynamic environment and delivering great experiences for our customers is top priority We are seeking an exceptional Business Intelligence Engineer to join our Innovations and Automations team FOAA Innovations and Automations team drives scale and productivity for FOAA by developing reporting and automation solutions The person in this position will play a key role in supporting the development of tools and reports used by the FOAA and Accounting organizations The person will own BI support for FOAA by leading the creation of automated solutions to complex business problems This person will help develop analytical solutions and leverage our optimized and scalable datasets, with opportunities to utilize emerging technologies The ideal candidate will be passionate about building tools that provide unique insights to leaders of FOAA The primary responsibilities of this role are to: Work with our customers to understand their needs and design reporting solutions that will exceed expectations Develop flexible and scalable solutions using new technologies Automate existing processes where needed Debug report issues, unblock workflows and Communicate with other teams and customers to provide status updates Work effectively with cross-functional teams and in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment Tools used include: 1 AWS Services 2 SQL (Oracle and Redshift), ETL tools (internal) 3 Python 4 Tableau/Quicksight 5 Report scheduling tools (internal) The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and driven to provide insightful and timely information to customers The candidate should have strong communication skills and ability to prioritize effectively to ensure timelines are met There is always room to make things better so this candidate should also have the ability to invent and simplify 2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc experience Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (eg Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (eg t-test, Chi-squared) Experience with scripting language (eg Python, Java, or R) Masters degree, or Advanced technical degree Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design Experience with statistical analysis, co-relation analysis for more information If the country/region you re applying in isn t listed, please contact your Recruiting Partner
