Business Development Trainee

ROLE DESCRIPTION :

• As a Business Development Trainee, you'll gain hands-on experience in sales, communication, lead
• generation, and strategy, laying the foundation for a high-growth career in business development. This
• role is ideal for someone who is passionate about growth, has a knack for communication, and is
• eager to learn the ropes in a dynamic, high-impact environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Promote and sell Newton Schools Tech Programs (such as Full Stack Development, Data
• Science, etc.) to both college students and working professionals
• Identify, connect with, and nurture potential leads via calls, emails, and digital channels
• Assist in qualifying leads and converting them into potential opportunities
• Maintain accurate CRM records and contribute to regular sales reporting
• Collaborate with marketing teams to run outreach campaigns and track performance
• Participate in demo calls and gain exposure to full sales cycles
• Provide market feedback to improve outreach strategies and offerings
• Engage in competitor research and understand industry trends

PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Pursuing or recently completed studies in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or relevant fields
• Excellent communication skills in English; Hindi proficiency is a plus
• Proficiency in Google Workspace & basic CRM tools (e.g., Zoho, HubSpot)
• Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive mindset
• Willingness to make cold/warm calls and handle rejection gracefully
• Curious, analytical, and eager to learn
• Prior internship or project experience in sales/marketing is a plus
