Business Development (pre-sales)

As a core team member in the business development team at CommerceX, a leading e-commerce/digital solutions provider based in Gurgaon, you will be responsible for researching the market to identify buying/selling trends, new markets, and categories to onboard clients. You will build a pool of direct clients active in the e-commerce and digital marketing space and negotiate directly with large clients regarding commercials and budgets. Your role will involve ensuring clear understanding of every client brief and presenting proposals that are perfect in every aspect to achieve closure. Experience in pitching various digital and e-commerce solutions, as well as previous leadership experience in handling a 2-3 people pan India sales team, is required. You should have strong relationships with direct clients in the e-commerce space and possess a high level of empowerment and decision-making ability. It will be your responsibility to achieve all regional and national revenue targets agreed with management, negotiate contracts with clients, and adhere to regulations and guidelines. Developing relationships with industry professionals, competitors, vendors, and other personnel is crucial. You will also need to develop and expand client partnerships with detailed attention to client needs and case study development for client wins and up-selling. Additionally, you may be required to attend conferences, industry events, and other activities as deemed necessary. You will also assist the collection team in resolving any outstanding issues with clients. Key Skills Required: - Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in e-commerce/digital marketing - Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills - Ability to understand data and engage in analytical discussions with clients regarding their marketing spends and outputs - Capability to manage a team of 2-3 salespeople on a pan India basis and groom them for the mandate - Perspective of all parts of e-commerce and digital marketing business, including delivery and operations, to effectively collaborate with core teams.,
