Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager - Quick Commerce Marketplace to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing partnerships, negotiating business terms and ensuring MIVIs strategic alignment across platforms. The role involves managing our products on various Quick Commerce marketplaces, driving sales and ensuring an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Quick Commerce Account Management

  • Manage relationships and business operations across Blinkit, Instamart, Zepto, BigBasket and other platforms.
  • Ensure adherence to platform guidelines, service levels, and visibility requirements.
  • Build and nurture strong partnerships with category managers and platform representatives.

Sales Growth and Strategy

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet revenue and profitability targets.
  • Identify and capitalize on category opportunities, festive campaigns and visibility initiatives.
  • Monitor and drive performance KPIs including GMV, fill rate, TAT, ASP and sales velocity.

Product Optimization

  • Manage listings, catalog accuracy and content optimization across platforms.
  • Work with the marketing and content teams to enhance product presentation and visibility.
  • Analyze customer feedback and marketplace insights to guide product improvements.

Pricing and Promotions

  • Design competitive pricing models based on category data and competitor benchmarking.
  • Plan and execute participation in platform campaigns, brand days and promotional events.
  • Drive visibility through sponsored ads, homepage placements and banner collaborations.

Analytics and Reporting

  • Track and report sales performance, category share, ROI and inventory movement.
  • Utilize data analytics to forecast sales and identify key growth levers.
  • Provide regular performance updates and strategic inputs to senior management.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with supply chain, finance and marketing teams for smooth operations.
  • Ensure inventory availability, order fulfilment and payment reconciliations are streamlined.
  • Collaborate with marketing to align brand visibility with platform promotions.

Key Skills and Competencies

Quick Commerce Expertise

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart, Zepto, BigBasket and similar quick commerce ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with KPIs such as fill rate, order TAT, GMV and sales velocity.

Analytical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Excel and analytical tools for sales tracking and data interpretation.
  • Ability to convert insights into actionable business decisions and strategies.

Negotiation and Relationship Management

  • Proven ability to negotiate for visibility slots, commercial terms and promotional opportunities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build and sustain platform relationships.

Technical Acumen

  • Experience using platform dashboards, campaign managers and catalog management tools.
  • Familiarity with inventory management, payment reconciliation and operational processes.

Strategic Thinking

  • Skilled in developing long-term growth plans aligned with brand goals.
  • Ability to align pricing, promotion, and inventory strategies for optimal performance.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education:

    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Experience:

    Minimum 5–10 years in e-commerce/quick commerce with at least 3 years in category or account management for Blinkit, Instamart, Zepto or similar platforms.
  • Industry Background:

    Consumer Electronics, FMCG or any high-volume D2C / E-commerce segment preferred.
  • Track Record:

    Demonstrated success in achieving sales KPIs and scaling business through strategic partnerships.
