Role & responsibilities

Role: Business Development Manager

Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Identify potential clients and new business opportunities across target markets.
  • Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and market demands.
  • Generate and qualify leads through cold calls, emails, events, networking, and referrals.

Client Relationship Management

  • Establish, maintain, and grow strong relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Conduct meetings, presentations, and negotiations to convert leads into long-term clients.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and provide timely solutions to client concerns.

Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet or exceed targets.
  • Track sales pipeline and performance metrics using CRM tools.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align offerings with client needs.

Partnerships & Alliances

  • Explore and build strategic alliances, franchise partners, or channel networks.
  • Negotiate terms and close partnership agreements to expand brand reach.

Market Expansion & Business Planning

  • Identify new geographical or sectoral markets for expansion.
  • Develop feasibility reports and business proposals for new opportunities.
  • Contribute to pricing strategy, product positioning, and go-to-market planning.

Marketing Collaboration

  • Work with marketing teams to support campaigns, content creation, and digital outreach.
  • Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and conferences.

Reporting & Insights

  • Prepare weekly/monthly business development reports for senior management.
  • Provide feedback from clients and prospects to help refine products/services.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Proven experience (3-8 years) in business development, sales, or client servicing.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strategic thinking with a strong commercial acumen.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
