We're Hiring - Business Development Manager

About the Role:

Were Hiring Business Development Manager for Cattle Feed Division (Dairy Input). With a keen focus on product knowledge, and contributes to revenue growth and fosters strong relationships with Dehaat Centre and Farmers.

Responsibilities:

1. Sales & Business Growth**

* Achieve monthly/quarterly/annual revenue targets for dairy inputs (cattle feed, mineral mixture, silage, veterinary medicines, etc.).

* Drive product penetration and repeat sales within DeHaats farmer network.

* Optimize product mix for profitability (premium vs mass-market products).

2. Farmer Acquisition & Engagement**

* Expand farmer coverage in assigned regions through DeHaat centers.

* Conduct farmer meetings, demo camps, and training programs on dairy nutrition & herd health.

* Increase active farmer base and improve adoption of packaged dairy solutions.

3. Channel & Partner Development**

* Strengthen retailer/dealer/distributor network for dairy inputs.

* Build partnerships with veterinary doctors, para-vets, SHGs, and dairy cooperatives.

4. Advisory & Value-Added Services**

* Provide technical guidance to farmers on feeding practices, breed improvement, and productivity

enhancement.

* Ensure bundling of inputs with DeHaats extension services (advisory + insurance + veterinary care).

* Develop farmer success stories to build trust and brand credibility.

5. Operations & Supply Chain Coordination**

* Ensure availability and timely delivery of products at DeHaat centres.

* Monitor inventory, credit policy adherence, and logistics efficiency.

* Coordinate with supply chain for demand forecasting and stock planning.

6. Team Leadership & Capability Building**

* Recruit, train, and manage field executives and extension staff.

* Drive field productivity through regular reviews, handholding, and incentive monitoring.

* Build a high-performance culture aligned with DeHaats growth vision.

7. Reporting, Analytics & Insights**

* Maintain MIS on sales, farmer engagement, channel growth, and revenue.

* Provide weekly/monthly reports with insights on farmer needs, product gaps, and competitor activities.

* Use data to drive strategy for pricing, campaigns, and product introduction.

Preference:

  • B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Agriculture or MBA.
  • 2-3yrs of experience required in Cattle Feed or Dairy Input Division.
  • Marathi will be preferred.
