As a Business Development Manager in the leading Shipping & Logistics CHA Division based in Thoothukudi, you will play a crucial role in identifying and cultivating new business opportunities related to CHA, import-export documentation, and freight forwarding services. Your responsibilities will include meeting with importers/exporters, manufacturers, and logistics decision-makers to grasp their clearance and transportation requirements. You will be expected to proactively generate leads through various channels such as cold calling, field visits, references, and networking. Your role will also involve preparing and delivering tailored proposals and presentations to clients, with the aim of achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets aligned with company objectives. Building and maintaining strong client relationships to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction will be key, along with collaborating closely with operations and documentation teams to guarantee seamless service delivery. In this position, you will need to keep abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies, and actively participate in logistics expos, trade shows, and industry events to promote the services offered by the company. Regularly submitting sales reports and pipeline updates to the management will be essential to track progress and drive business growth.
