Role Definition

BDE would be responsible for identifying prospects, maintaining customer relationships and identifying ways to grow their sales figures

whilst providing reliable support to Business Owner.

Tasks & Activities

Sale of Plant Rental Service, Green wall / Vertical Gardens, Plant Gifting & Maintenance products/services.

  • Identify and pursue potential customers or clients through various sales channels, such as cold calling, networking, and referrals.
  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with existing and prospective clients to understand their needs, preferences, and pain points.
  • Deliver compelling product and service presentations to showcase their value and address client questions head-on.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with clients to secure deals while maintaining profitability for the company.
  • Convert leads into sales by resolving client concerns and guiding them through the purchasing process.
  • Provide ongoing support to existing clients while ensuring their satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities for improvement.
  • Set and track sales goals and implement strategies for driving growth
  • Attend team meetings and provide input on project planning, resource allocation, and work schedules.
  • Monitor the performance of team members and provide feedback on areas for improvement.
  • Monitor the progress of each project and provide status updates to the Higher Management.

  • Any other tasks related to “Sales or Business Development” as instructed by Business Owners

Measurement Metrics 1

Lead Generation

  • Number of Leads Generated: Total number of new prospects identified per month.
  • Lead Conversion Rate: Percentage of leads converted into customers.
  • • Follow-up Rate: Percentage of leads followed up within a specified time frame.
  • Source Effectiveness: Performance of different lead sources (cold calls, networking, referrals).

2. Quantum of Work

  • Total Sales Revenue: Monthly/quarterly revenue generated
  • Number of Client Meetings: Number of product demonstrations, calls, or meetings held.
  • Deals Closed: Total number of successful sales transactions.
  • Territory Coverage: Number of new market segments tapped.

3. Quality of Work

  • Customer Satisfaction Score (CSAT): Feedback ratings from customers on interactions and support.
  • Retention Rate: Percentage of customers who continue purchasing over a period.
  • Accuracy in Documentation: Error-free contracts, pricing details, and order processing.
  • Product Knowledge Score: Performance in periodic assessments on product and service details.

4. Work Efficiency

  • Sales Cycle Time: Average time taken to convert a lead into a sale.
  • Response Time to Inquiries: Time taken to respond to customer queries.
  • Task Completion Rate: Percentage of assigned tasks completed within deadlines.

5. Professionalism

  • Compliance with ethical sales practices and company standards.
  • Meeting deadlines, attending meetings on time.
  • Clarity and professionalism in verbal/written communication.
  • Ability to handle objections, client concerns, and escalations efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Graduation/Post-graduation in Agri, Horti, Forestry, Botany or any other field with MBA or Diploma in Sales/Marketing with 2 – 5 years of relevant experience
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced professionals
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers
  • Fleuncy in English, Hindi and Marathi
  • Good skills in using MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and general computer operations
  • Team player with a positive learning attitude
  • Most important of all – to possess and maintain ‘whatever it takes’ attitude in all situations
  • Candidates from in and around Mumbai region preferred
