Job Description

Job Summary:

The Business Development Executive (BDE) will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding the customer base, and building strategic relationships in the assigned territory. The ideal candidate will possess deep domain knowledge in cutting tools, a strong understanding of machining processes, and a proven track record in B2B industrial sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across OEMs, Tier 1/2 suppliers, and ancillaries.
  • Build and nurture strong customer relationships to understand tooling needs and propose tailored solutions.
  • Develop account-specific strategies and achieve sales targets for the region.
  • Drive product trials, approvals, and conversions by coordinating with application and technical support teams.
  • Promote new product introductions and value-added solutions, including tool reconditioning and cost-per-part programs.
  • Manage channel partners and distributors to ensure aligned growth and market penetration.
  • Maintain a robust sales funnel and report progress through CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Ensure timely collections and adherence to DSO norms.
  • Stay updated with market trends, competitor activities, and evolving customer requirements.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, seminars, and technical workshops.

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering (mandatory)

Experience:

  • 5 -7 years of proven experience in B2B sales or business development, preferably in the cutting tools, machining solutions, or metalworking industry.
  • Hands-on exposure to CNC machining centers, process planning, and customer trials is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with key accounts in Bangalore, Hosur, and Peenya industrial belt is a plus

  • Achieving quarterly and annual sales revenue targets
  • Adding a minimum number of new customers per quarter
  • Increasing wallet share with key accounts
  • Driving trials and conversions for new product lines
  • Ensuring 100% collections and improving DSO
  • Expanding presence in new geographies or segments
