1. Role Overview The Business Development Executive will support the identification, development, and execution of new business opportunities for the organization. The role involves coordinating client interactions, preparing proposals, supporting pilot project execution, and ensuring smooth transition of approved projects to the Operations team. This position plays a critical role in bridging business development and execution, especially during early-stage project development and pilot phases.
2. Key Responsibilities:
A. Business Development & Opportunity Identification • Identify and track potential business opportunities across projects and geographies. • Support senior team members in client discussions, negotiations, and follow-ups. • Assist in preparation of concept notes, proposals, presentations, EOIs, and tenders. B. Client & Stakeholder Coordination • Coordinate with clients, partners, consultants, and internal teams during project development. • Support requirement gathering and conversion of client needs into defined project scopes. • Maintain structured communication and documentation throughout the business development cycle. C. Pilot Project Coordination • Support coordination and execution of pilot runs or trial projects post-approval. • Work closely with operations and technical teams to define pilot scope, timelines, and KPIs. • Track pilot progress, challenges, and outcomes; document learnings and recommendations. D. Project Transition to Operations • Facilitate structured handover of approved projects from Business Development to Operations. • Ensure clarity on scope, commercials, timelines, risks, and responsibilities. • Support the operations team during initial execution to ensure continuity and alignment. E. Market Research & Strategic Support • Conduct basic market, competitor, and industry research to support strategy development. • Assist in preparation of internal notes, dashboards, and management presentations. • Support feasibility assessments and data collection for new project evaluation. F. Travel & Field Coordination • Travel to multiple project locations during project development and pilot phases. • Support site assessments, meetings, and coordination with local stakeholders and teams.
3. Qualifications & Experience
• Graduation in Business Administration, Management or related field. • 13 years of experience in business development, project coordination, consulting, or similar roles. • Experience involving client interaction and cross-functional coordination preferred.
4. Skills & Competencies
• Strong communication and documentation skills. • Ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and teams. • Basic understanding of project workflows, costing, and proposal development. • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. • Willingness to travel and work in field-oriented environments.
5. Growth & Learning Opportunities • Exposure to end-to-end business development lifecycle. • Hands-on involvement in pilot execution and project rollout. • Opportunities to grow into Senior Business Development, Project Management, or Strategy roles.
