Business Analyst

The ideal candidate is a team player who will be responsible for working with company data in various business areas. Specific responsibilities include reporting metrics, analyzing methodologies, suggesting operation improvements, and building proposal evaluations in a cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

Types of resources required (e.g. BA, developer)

Business Analyst to work in the issuing and Acquiring streams (refer to duties below)

Specific knowledge, skills, or expertise needed (e.g. Payments background)

Card Domain expertise ( Card network architecture and processing flows ; BIN management; merchant/cardholder onboarding; transaction life cycle; card life cycle; account management - credit revolving, Interest generation, fees)

Payment schemes and standard (Knowledge of industry regulations and messaging standards (ISO 8583, ISO 20022, EMV, PCI?DSS including the keys management[EMV/terminal]) across schemes like Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, UPI

Fraud, Compliance & Risk Understanding the dispute/chargeback requirements and processing. card risk parameters/terminal risk parameters

At least 5 years working experience in similar post ( PowerCARD application knowledge would be an advantage)

Role of the Business Analyst Acquiring

Duties

1. Bridging the gap between business needs and solution provided by the tech teams within MCB/external Providers ( Including payment networks)

2. Defining and documenting the requirements for various acquiring functionalities to be supported across POS, ATM, and e-commerce channels, including associated peripherals ( e.g. statement/state flows/transaction flows)

3. Supporting system design with external/internal service providers and working together with other third party Business Analyst to allow the creation of Acquiring Products [ATMS, POS, E-Commerce], in terms of all existing parameters and set-up available on the current CMS at granular level For ATM; documenting the different states flows /NDC protocol available for MCB group and mapping on the new system].

4. Define certification scope for target terminal profiles ( ATM/POS - including additional comfort testing for E-Commerce) and configure the corresponding test selection engines for the different networks ( Visa/Amex/UPI/MasterCard)

5. Guiding testing [basically the project analyst in terms of all supported features prior to UATs)

6. Ensuring business readiness activities in terms of UATs/ Test Scripts.

Role of Business Analyst Issuing

Duties :

1. Bridging the gap between business needs solution provided by the tech teams within MCB/external Providers ( Including payment networks)

2. Defining and documenting the requirements for various acquiring functionalities to be supported across the different issuing products ( Debit/Credit/Prepaid) including associated peripherals ( e.g. statement/Juice Interfaces/transaction flows/card personalization)

3. Supporting system design with external/internal service providers to allow the creation of Issuing products [Debit Cards, Credit Cards, Prepaid Cards] in terms of all existing parameters ( including all the EMV parameters) and set-up available (card interfaces, product requirements) on the current CMS at granular level]

4. Define certification scope (dual interface) for the different payment networks ( Visa/Amex/MasterCard)

5. Guiding testing [basically the project analyst in terms of all supported features prior to UATs)

6. Ensuring business readiness activities in terms of UATs/ Test Scripts.
