Business Analyst

As a Business Analyst at RSM, you will play a crucial role in understanding and addressing business problems and opportunities by eliciting, analyzing, communicating, and validating requirements for changes to business processes, policies, and information systems. Your primary responsibility will be to recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals under the general direction of the Business Analyst Lead. You will lead enterprise analysis activities, participate in product roadmapping, and provide strategic recommendations for current and upcoming product work. Additionally, you will assist product owners and managers with backlog management. Your role will involve leading requirements elicitation sessions, documenting user stories and acceptance criteria, and developing supporting documentation such as state flow diagrams and data mapping. Collaboration will be key, as you work independently and with Product Designers to develop user interface design, as well as with technical and QA teams to size and validate user stories. Your technical skills will be put to use as you analyze and document backend system information, including data mapping and microservice components. Proficiency in MS Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio is essential, along with knowledge of defect tracking processes and tools. To excel in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience, along with a minimum of 3 years of business analysis experience in a development environment. Strong knowledge of basic and advanced business analysis techniques and strategies, product design, user experience design concepts, and Agile Framework methodologies is required. Experience in operational business process improvement, knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies, and familiarity with structured and object-oriented analysis techniques are also valuable. The ability to work in a highly collaborative environment, consult effectively with employees at all levels, prioritize across multiple projects and deadlines, and demonstrate strong attention to detail, motivation, and initiative are essential. Experience leading a team of resources for the coordinated delivery of large or complex projects is preferred. Financial services or accounting industry experience is a plus.
