About Position

Business Analyst in BAG practice

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Modeling and Forecasting

• Build financial and valuation models to support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis
• Analyze financial performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess business health, identify areas for improvement and benchmark with regional and global peers
• Provide insights and recommendations to the project team to support financial planning and strategic decision-making

Market Research and Competitive Analysis

• Conduct comprehensive market research to assess industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging opportunities
• Research and analyze competitors' strategies, products, and market positioning to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for differentiation
• Create findings into meaningful recommendations to guide clients in strategic decision-making and share it with the team

Data Collection and Analysis

• Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data from various sources, including financial reports, market research, and internal systems
• Conduct thorough data interpretation and identify trends, patterns, and anomalies to extract actionable insights

Industry Knowledge (Insurance)

• Working knowledge of IFRS 17 (non-actuarial aspects) ability to assess the standards financial and operational implications, interpret client reporting under IFRS 17, and support advisory assignments involving financial impact assessment
• Understanding of Risk Capital and Solvency Modelling familiarity with regulatory capital frameworks and the ability to analyze capital adequacy, stress testing outcomes, and implications for strategy and capital planning
• Awareness of Rating Agency Capital Models understanding of how agencies such as S&P, A.M. Best, etc. evaluate insurers capital strength and what levers can enhance ratings outcomes
• Understanding of insurance products and business models ability to connect product economics (Life, Health, Motor, etc.) with profitability, growth levers, and market strategy
• Capability to translate technical regulatory or financial concepts into actionable business insights for senior management and board-level discussions

Team Collaboration and Client Engagement

• Collaborate with the internal team to prepare proposals, presentations, and other materials for client meetings and pitches
• Participate in client meetings and presentations to understand client needs, gather requirements, and present capabilities and solutions
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and objectives
• Communicate effectively with clients to gather requirements, provide updates, and present findings and recommendations

Qualification and Experience requirements:

• MBA from a premier institute/ CFA (USA)/ CA (ICAI)/FRM
• 1-4 years of relevant experience
