Job Summary:

The Business Analyst Lead is responsible for leading a team of business analysts and overseeing the end-to-end process of gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements. This role ensures that business objectives are effectively translated into system solutions and operational improvements. The position involves strategic thinking, leadership, stakeholder collaboration, and continuous improvement initiatives to drive organizational efficiency and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of business analysts to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Assign and oversee tasks, ensuring consistent adherence to business analysis standards and methodologies.
  • Provide coaching and performance feedback to support professional growth.

2. Business Analysis & Requirements Management

  • Conduct and oversee the gathering, validation, and documentation of business requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and meetings with stakeholders to define scope and objectives.
  • Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements for technical teams.
  • Ensure traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

3. Strategy & Planning

  • Partner with senior management to align business analysis activities with organizational goals.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and digital transformation.
  • Contribute to project prioritization and roadmap development.

4. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams.
  • Communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure requirements are aligned with business value.

5. Governance & Quality Assurance

  • Establish and maintain business analysis best practices, templates, and tools.
  • Conduct peer reviews of business requirements and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, data governance, and regulatory standards.

6. Project Support & Delivery

  • Support project planning, estimation, and resource allocation.
  • Participate in solution validation, testing, and user acceptance activities.
  • Monitor post-implementation performance and contribute to lessons-learned sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • (Preferred) Master’s degree or professional certification (CBAP, PMI-PBA, or similar).
  • 6–10 years of experience in business analysis, including 2+ years in a leadership or senior role.
  • Strong understanding of business process modeling, systems analysis, and data analysis.
  • Experience with project management and agile/scrum methodologies.
  • Proficiency with business analysis tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, MS Visio, Lucidchart)
