Job Description

Key Accountabilities
As a Business Analyst within the Derivs Doc team you will be accountable for:

Decision-making and Problem Solving
Key to your role will be to obtain a clear understanding of problems, collect thenecessary data, and develop a list of workable solutions accompanied byrecommendations. You will need to make key decisions ensuring you have identifiedand analysed a finite set of alternatives described in terms of specific evaluativecriteria.

Risk and Control Objective
Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatoryrequirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal BarclaysPolicies and Policy Standards.

Person Specification
Have experience running workshops, performing 1-1 interviews, holdingpresentations.Experience managing several projects at time with different challenging deliverytimeframes.Experience managing multiple projects across different time zonesGood knowledge and experience of gathering and documenting requirementsthrough User Stories using Gherkin languageHave an inquisitive nature; able to work independently to take a problem, break itdown, recognise additional questions and find solutions.Experience of designing effective and efficient strategic solutions.Experience of writing functional specifications that can be delivered to threeaudiences, the business, developers and testers.Strong data analysis skills and attention to detailMust be proactive, able to act on initiative and have a hands on attitudeProven ability to communicate issues to both technical and non-technical audienceExcellent time management with the ability to multi-task and prioritiseHighly organised, delivering results in demanding environments

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:
Proven ability to influence and manage across multiple teams and regions todeliver complex projectsVery strong project management skillsAbility to write high quality Business Requirement Documents and FunctionalSpecs that are clear and concise enough for both Operations and developers tofollowA team player willing to share knowledge and help othersUnderstand the LEAN principles and has the ability to apply them

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of confirmation workflows including drafting technologies would behelpfulGood product knowledge including one of the following areas Equities Derivatives,FX, Interest Rate Derivatives, Commodities, Credit derivatives, Securities, FXForwards and NDFs.
