Job Description

Headend Engineer Trainee – Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in Signal Reception & Monitoring:

  • Help monitor incoming signals from satellite, fiber, or terrestrial sources.
  • Learn to verify signal quality and identify basic reception issues.

2. Support in Equipment Setup & Maintenance:

  • Assist in the setup and configuration of headend equipment (IRDs, encoders, modulators).
  • Help perform basic maintenance tasks and equipment inspections.

3. System Monitoring & Troubleshooting:

  • Use monitoring tools to track system performance and alert senior staff to potential issues.
  • Support first-level troubleshooting of alarms and signal drops under supervision.

4. Documentation & Reporting:

  • Assist in updating equipment logs, configuration sheets, and network diagrams.
  • Help prepare daily shift reports or incident logs.

5. Learning Compliance & Safety Protocols:

  • Learn about regulatory requirements (e.g., FCC, DVB standards).
  • Follow safety guidelines when working with RF equipment and electrical systems.

6. Support in Network Equipment Handling:

  • Learn the basics of IP networking, VLANs, and multicast for IPTV systems.
  • Help configure switches and routers under supervision.

7. Participate in Upgrades & Testing:

  • Assist in equipment installation and software updates.
  • Help test new services or channels during rollout phases.

Job Types: Full-time, Fresher

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
