Branch Operations Manager

As a Banking Operations Manager at Standard Chartered, you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of branch operations to ensure efficient service delivery and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Your primary duties will include: - Approving daily transactions for selected products such as travelers cheques, cashiers orders, currency exchange, merchant services, and safe boxes, including transactions exceeding specified teller limits. - Managing service delivery by observing queue times, taking necessary actions to manage customer traffic, ensuring branch premises are maintained to specified standards, and recommending workflow changes for greater efficiency. - Monitoring customer satisfaction survey ratings and ensuring continuous improvement in service quality. - Conducting general reconciliation and compliance activities, including dual control of cash functions, security stationary control, review of processing entries and vouchers, and rectification of internal control issues. - Ensuring compliance with all Operations health documents, regulatory returns, and internal/external audits. - Supervising, coaching, and training staff to enhance performance, achieve high employee engagement, and ensure optimal teller productivity. - Identifying prospects for cross-selling opportunities and contributing to branch performance through referrals and efficient customer service. Additionally, you will be responsible for premises management, health and safety guidelines, archival portfolio ownership, and maintaining MIS related to archived documents. Skills and experience required for this role include addressing customer needs, knowledge of anti-money laundering policies and procedures, customer interaction, customer retention, customer support standards, and teller functions.
