Branch Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Business Growth & Sales

• Drive disbursal of gold loans, grow assets under management (AUM) for the branch
• Generate new customers in the market (open market customers) and renewals for existing customers.
• Lead and implement branch-level marketing and field activities to build pipeline.
  

• Operations & Branch Management

• Manage day-to-day operations of the branch including loan processing, valuations, disbursals, documentation.
  
• Ensure correct valuation of gold jewellery, manage safekeeping of pledged gold (vault/locker) as per policy.
  
• Monitor cash/inventory/branch logistics and ensure smooth functioning.

• Team Leadership & People Development

• Hire/train/motivate branch staff; set targets, conduct reviews, and build high performance culture.
  
• Foster alignment with branch goals and ensure staff understand sales/operations/compliance responsibilities.
  

• Collections & Portfolio Quality

• Ensure timely interest collections, manage delinquency / NPA exposure; minimise bucketed/non-performing assets.

• Compliance, Risk & Audit

• Enforce strict adherence to all regulatory / company policies (KYC, documentation, valuation norms, vault security).
  
• Prepare reports (daily/weekly/monthly) of branch performance, submit to head office; participate in audits.
  

• Customer Service & Relationship Management

Preferred candidate profile

• Graduate in any discipline; MBA or PG diploma in Finance/Marketing preferred.
  
• 4-7 years of relevant experience in gold-loan / operations, with at least some team-lead experience.
  
• Proven track record in sales, operations and collections in gold-loan
