Job Description

Role & responsibilities:

Boiler Project Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and manage boiler installations, upgrades, and retrofits (steam, thermal oil, or hot water systems)
Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies
Prepare and review engineering drawings, P&IDs, layout plans, and equipment specifications
Coordinate procurement, vendor management, and logistics
Liaise with OEMs, contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution
Ensure compliance with IBR, ASME, and other regulatory codes
Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
Supervise contractors during installation and commissioning
Troubleshoot technical issues and validate system performance
Maintain documentation for audits, inspections, and regulatory approvals
Support energy efficiency initiatives and waste heat recovery projects

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Thermal Engineering
Proficient in AutoCAD and project planning tools (e.g., MS Project)
Strong understanding of steam generation, combustion systems, and fuel handling
Knowledge of fire-tube, water-tube, and fluidized bed boilers
Familiarity with IBR, ASME, and emission compliance standards

Preferred:

Boiler Operation Engineer (BOE) License or equivalent
Experience in FMCG, food, pharma, or chemical manufacturing industries
Knowledge of biomass, gas, oil-fired, and hybrid boiler systems
Exposure to energy-saving technologies and heat recovery systems
