Biomedical Engineer

As a Biomedical Engineer, your role involves installing, calibrating, and maintaining biomedical equipment and instruments. You will be responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance and quality assurance checks to ensure optimal functioning of the equipment. Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and timely repairs are essential to minimize downtime. Your duty also includes ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards such as NABL, NABH, and ISO. It is crucial to maintain accurate documentation of service, maintenance schedules, and equipment history. Additionally, you will need to train healthcare and laboratory staff on the proper usage and handling of equipment. Coordinating with equipment vendors for spare parts, warranty claims, and technical support is part of your responsibilities. You will also assist in planning and procuring new biomedical devices as per organizational requirements. Staying updated on advancements in biomedical technology and recommending upgrades when necessary is essential.
