We seek a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Part-Time Bioinformatics Trainer & Researcher. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and delivering bioinformatics training programs while actively engaging in research activities within our dynamic environment.

Job Location - Online Full Time / Offline Full Time at Bangalore

Work Hours - 9 Hours per day

Essential Qualification & Eligibility - PhD in Bioinformatics / Computational Biology / AL ML (PhD will be preferred)

Experience Required - 2 to 5 years

Qualifications:

• PhD or Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, AI ML or a related field.
• Proven experience in bioinformatics research and a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
• Knowledge of Genomics and Genetics
• Data Mining & Data Analysis skills
• Demonstrated expertise in popular bioinformatics tools and software.
• Experience in designing and delivering bioinformatics training programs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Skills Required -

Bioinformatics Skills -

• Should be skilled in sequence alignment (BLAST, Clustal), NGS analysis (BWA, Bowtie), and handling high-throughput data (SAMtools, IGV).
• Expertise in molecular docking (AutoDock, PyMOL) and data analysis (R, Python) is essential, along with proficiency in phylogenetics, genomics, transcriptomics (Galaxy, Tophat), and functional annotation (DAVID, KEGG).
• Strong skills in data visualization, scripting, cloud computing, and database management (SQL) are also required, supporting comprehensive bioinformatics research and applications.

Programming Skills -

• You should be familiar with one or more of the following programming languages: CADD, R, BioPerl, Biopython, BioJava, and Matlab.
• AI ML Skills - AI/ML scientists in bioinformatics should excel in data pre-processing, feature engineering, and model development with Python, R, and libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Sci-kit-Learn.
• Key skills include supervised and unsupervised learning (classification, clustering, deep learning), NLP for text mining, image analysis, and time-series analysis.
• Proficiency in data visualisation (Matplotlib, Plotly), cloud deployment (AWS, Google Cloud), and SQL database management is essential for effective AI/ML applications in bioinformatics.
