BigData-Hadoop/Scala Engineer

Role Overview: An Associate Engineer at Deutsche Bank in Pune, India is responsible for developing and delivering engineering solutions to achieve business objectives. Key Responsibilities: - Designing and developing software applications as a Software Engineer - Collaborating with Team Leads, Software Development Managers, and key stakeholders to ensure high-quality, maintainable, scalable software applications - Strong technological background and ability to work independently with minimal guidance - Excellent communication skills and positive outlook - Experience in Agile and Scrum delivery methodologies - Contributing to good software design, participating in daily stand-up meetings, analyzing and fixing software defects timely - Working closely with Functional Analysis and Quality Assurance teams Qualifications Required: Must have: - Extensive experience with Hadoop & Java related technologies - Understanding of Hadoop ecosystem, HDFS file system, and different types of nodes in a Hadoop cluster - Experience with MapReduce framework, Hive, Pig, Impala, Spark SQL, Apache Spark, and Scala - Experience with GCP including Composer, Data Proc, Big Query, and file handling technologies like Avro/Parquet - Good understanding of BEELINE command to connect to HIVE server, Spring Batch/Core/Boot, JavaEE application server, XML binding, and core Java concepts - Proficiency in tuning, troubleshooting, and experience with monitoring tools - Experience with messaging and integration, REST, SOA, build and deployment tools like GIT, GitHub, Maven, etc. - Unix scripting knowledge and experience, and awareness of emerging trends and technologies Nice to have: - Experience with cloud technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift, Azure - End-to-end design and delivery of solutions, UI frameworks like Angular or React, RDBMS/Oracle design and development Company Details: Deutsche Bank fosters a culture of empowerment, initiative, collaboration, and responsibility.
