Role & responsibilities

• Cloud Data Architecture (GCP)

  Expertise in designing and developing

  cloud data warehouses, data lakes, and cloud-native data solutions

  using GCP services such as BigQuery, GCS, Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, and more.

• Modern Data Engineering

  Hands-on experience with

  big data frameworks, data ingestion pipelines, ELT/ETL tools

  , source-to-target mappings, and data lineage.

• BigQuery Mastery

  Deep understanding of

  BigQuery performance tuning, partitioning, clustering

  , and cost-optimized query design.

• Programming Skills

  Strong command of

  Python, SQL

  , and exposure to languages like Java, R, or C# for cloud development and automation.

• DevOps & Agile Mindset

  Working knowledge of

  CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, automation

  , and monitoring processes to streamline data development workflows.

• Data Modeling & Governance

  Experience designing

  logical/physical data models

  , implementing governance practices, and ensuring secure, high-quality, well-managed datasets.

• Cloud-Native Innovation

  Ability to architect solutions involving

  security, backup & recovery, high availability, autoscaling, and parallel processing

  in GCP.

• Leadership & Collaboration

  Track record of

  leading technical teams

  , delivering complex data projects, and aligning solutions with business objectives.

Skills & Qualifications

• 8+ years

  of experience in

  data engineering / data warehousing

• 4+ years

  of deep hands-on experience building data solutions on

  GCP

• Strong skills in

  data architecture, data modeling, big data, and data governance

• Proficient in

  Python, SQL

  , and familiar with R, Java, C#, or Unix
• Experience with

  GCP services

  like BigQuery, GCS, Compute Engine, serverless tech, and autoscaling
• Knowledge of

  DevOps & Agile

  development practices
• Experience with

  GCP SDKs and programmatic access

• Cloud certifications are a plus
