As a software engineer at Equifax, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a team of talented engineers at the forefront of technology. In this role, you will be responsible for leading SFTP projects, including those involving Globalscape and other tools. You will also take the lead on Data Engineering projects aimed at cloud enablement of applications and data. Demonstrating a deep understanding of cloud-native, distributed microservice-based architectures is a key aspect of this role. Your responsibilities will include delivering solutions for complex business problems through the software standard SDLC. Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including product, business, and sales partners, will be essential. You will be expected to communicate effectively, simplifying complex problems while also having the ability to delve deeper when necessary. Managing technical teams that deliver scalable software solutions will be part of your role, requiring cross-functional skills in software, quality, reliability engineering, project management, and scrum mastering. Troubleshooting and resolving production and customer issues under pressure will be crucial, leveraging your experience in full-stack software development and public cloud platforms like GCP and AWS. As a mentor, you will coach and develop junior and senior software, quality, and reliability engineers. You will lead with a data-driven mindset, focusing on optimizing and creating efficient solutions. Ensuring compliance with secure software development guidelines and best practices is paramount, along with meeting QE, DevSec, and FinOps KPIs. Collaboration with architects, SRE leads, and other technical leadership will be necessary to drive strategic technical direction. You will be responsible for technical documentation, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other team activities. Additionally, you will play a key role in implementation architecture decision-making, technical presentations, and SLA/SLO/SLI definitions. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and at least 7 years of software engineering experience. Proficiency in mainstream languages such as Java, SpringBoot, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, along with extensive experience in cloud technologies and microservices development, is required. Experience with SFTP tools, as well as strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, will set you apart. If you are a self-starter who can adapt to changing priorities with minimal supervision, possess strong communication and leadership qualities, and have a track record of overseeing budgets and product roadmaps, you are encouraged to apply. Experience in big data processing, UI development, backend technologies, source code control management systems, Agile environments, relational databases, and automated testing will be advantageous in this role.,
