Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) with 4+ years of proven experience in acquiring and managing clients through Upwork . The ideal candidate should be well-versed with Upwork bidding strategies, client communication, proposal writing, and converting leads into long-term partnerships. This role demands strong interpersonal skills, a strategic mindset, and a deep understanding of the freelance marketplace. Key Responsibilities: Identify, bid, and win new business opportunities through Upwork and other freelancing platforms. Write compelling proposals tailored to each client's requirements. Manage and grow client accounts, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business. Communicate effectively with clients to understand project scope, timelines, and expectations. Collaborate with technical and delivery teams to ensure successful project execution. Analyze and optimize bidding strategies to increase conversion rates. Maintain a strong pipeline of leads and regularly report on progress and KPIs. Stay updated with Upwork policies, trends, and best practices. Key Requirements: Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience managing and winning projects on Upwork . Demonstrated success in lead generation, sales closures, and client retention. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to understand technical requirements and translate them into business proposals. Familiarity with IT services, web and mobile development, or digital marketing (customize as per company). Strong organizational and time-management skills. Experience with CRM tools and Upwork analytics is a plus. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of other freelance platforms like Freelancer, Fiverr, Guru, etc. Existing client base or strong Upwork profile history. Understanding of agile and project management workflows.
