About The Opportunity
A growth-focused sales role within the e-commerce technology & services sector, supporting marketplace sellers, direct-to-consumer brands, and online retail operations. The team sells solutions that improve seller onboarding, order management, and revenue growth across platforms and channels.We are hiring a results-driven Business Development Executive to work on-site across India to build a high-quality pipeline, close new accounts, and expand customer relationships. This role reports to regional sales leadership and will be instrumental in scaling commercial traction.
Role & Responsibilities
- Prospect and qualify leads across e-commerce sellers, brand owners, and marketplace resellers using outbound channels (cold calls, LinkedIn, email) and inbound follow-up.
- Manage end-to-end sales cycle: run discovery calls, prepare proposals, negotiate terms, and close deals to meet monthly and quarterly targets.
- Maintain and update CRM with accurate pipeline stages, activity logs, forecasts, and account plans to ensure predictable revenue delivery.
- Partner with onboarding and product teams to ensure smooth handovers and timely implementation for new customers.
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within assigned accounts and coordinate growth strategies to increase customer lifetime value.
- Track competitor activity and market trends in the e-commerce ecosystem to refine outreach messaging and go-to-market tactics.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Proven B2B sales experience in the e-commerce or marketplace ecosystem with a demonstrable track record of closing deals.
- Strong proficiency with CRM platforms and disciplined pipeline management.
- Comfortable with high-volume outbound outreach (cold calling + targeted email sequences).
- Familiarity with major e-commerce platforms and seller workflows (e.g., Amazon Seller Central, marketplace operations).
- Excellent commercial negotiation and proposal development skills focused on SaaS or services contracts.
- Ability to work on-site in India and travel regionally as required for client meetings and events.
Preferred
- Experience selling SaaS, logistics, or seller support services to e-commerce brands.
- Prior success using sales automation tools and outreach sequencing platforms.
- Existing relationships with marketplace sellers or vendor managers at large platforms.
