Bartender

Job Summary

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while ensuring excellent guest service, adherence to legal regulations, and maintaining bar hygiene and inventory.

Key Responsibilities

Bar Operations

• Prepare and serve drinks as per standard recipes and hotel SOPs
• Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control
• Set up and close the bar according to operational requirements

Guest Service

• Greet guests courteously and take beverage orders
• Recommend cocktails, spirits, wines, and local specialties
• Handle guest queries and complaints professionally

Inventory & Cost Control

• Maintain stock levels and report shortages or breakages
• Assist in bar stock taking and requisitions
• Minimize wastage and control beverage costs

Hygiene & Safety

• Ensure cleanliness of bar counter, glassware, and equipment
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards

Team Coordination

• Coordinate with bar service staff and kitchen team
• Assist in training junior staff or bar attendants

Qualifications & Requirements

• Certificate/Diploma in Bartending or Hotel Management preferred
• 6 month – 1 years of experience in a hotel, resort, or premium bar
• Knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wines, and mocktails
• Good communication skills
• Fluency in English, Hindi and Malayalam preferred
