Barista

Department: Food & Beverage – Restaurant

Reports to: Restaurant Manager / Café Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, beverages, and light snacks while ensuring excellent customer service. The role requires knowledge of coffee brewing methods, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages to restaurant standards.
• Operate coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of beverages.
• Greet customers politely and assist them with menu choices and recommendations.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the workstation, equipment, and serving area.
• Handle cash/credit transactions (if applicable) and maintain billing accuracy.
• Follow standard recipes and restaurant procedures for beverage preparation.
• Stock and replenish coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies as required.
• Comply with food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Work closely with the service team to support smooth restaurant operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Prior experience as a Barista or in a café/restaurant setting preferred.
• Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, latte art, and beverage preparation.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
• Basic knowledge of hygiene and safety practices.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Education:

• High School/Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent.
• Barista training/certification (preferred, not mandatory).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
