Barista / Sr. Barista (Food & Beverage) - Kalyan Nagar (Bangalore)

Organization: The Organisation Harley’s Fine Baking (https://www.harleys.com/), is a European style patisserie (premium cake selling company) created by an IIM professor to disrupt the cake and coffee market, established to spread bonafide taste of the streets of Manhattan across the world. Brought into the world from a love for baking, the desire to create a meeting place that serves delicious food with a warm rustic environment. The Organization offers a full scope of Breads, morning merchandise, cakes, baked and savoury goods. Currently the team size is of about 200 people with more than 15 outlets across Hyderabad, along with a plan of opening 100 new outlets across Mumbai, Goa, Vijayawada, Bangalore, Chennai scaling up to 1000 people over the next year.

Designation: Barista / Sr. Barista

Qualification: 10+2 / Higher Secondary Certificate. Diploma in Hospitality, Hotel Management or F&B Services (Preferred)

Experience: Minimum 1+ year as a Barista in a premium café, specialty coffee outlet or boutique patisserie

Job Profile: As a Barista / Sr. Barista you will be the face of our customer experience. This role demands a passion for coffee, a commitment to consistent quality, and the ability to craft memorable guest interactions through both service and product excellence. You will prepare and serve beverages with precision, support store hygiene and display standards, and contribute to a warm, welcoming store environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve coffee and other beverages (hot/cold) as per standard recipes and presentation guidelines
• Educate customers on coffee, brewing methods, and product pairings (cakes, pastries, etc.)
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and brewing equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the barista station and customer areas
• Manage inventory of coffee supplies and support restocking as needed
• Take customer orders and handle POS billing with accuracy and courtesy
• Deliver prompt, friendly, and professional service at all times
• Support product sampling and store promotions as instructed
• Train junior staff (Sr. Barista level only) and ensure adherence to service SOPs
• Report customer feedback and operational challenges to the store supervisor

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in espresso-based drinks and manual brewing techniques
• Knowledge of coffee beans, blends, milk steaming, and flavor profiles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail in beverage preparation and presentation
• Strong customer orientation and service mindset
• Basic math and POS handling skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with team coordination

Desired Skills:

• Latte art skills (for Sr. Barista or growth path)
• Familiarity with inventory and stock management
• Basic understanding of cake/pastry products and coffee pairings
• Experience in boutique cafes, international chains, or premium F&B brands
