Barista

Job Summary:

The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and beverages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming café environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about coffee, friendly, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks, teas, and smoothies.
• Operate coffee machines, grinders, and brewing equipment according to standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and answering menu questions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar and guest areas.
• Ensure all beverages are prepared to company quality standards and presentation guidelines.
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately using POS systems.
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Replenish stock such as coffee beans, milk, syrups, and takeaway supplies.
• Support the café team with general tasks including dishwashing, restocking, and opening/closing duties.
• Stay updated on new menu items and seasonal promotions.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a barista or in a café/restaurant environment preferred.
• Basic knowledge of coffee preparation and espresso machines.
• Friendly personality with strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Barista certification or coffee training (e.g., SCA, Latte Art).
• Passion for coffee and interest in learning more about specialty brews.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
