Job Title: Barista

Reporting To: Café Manager / Store Supervisor
Location: Chetpet - Chennai

Job Summary

The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. The role requires providing excellent customer service, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a welcoming café environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and take beverage/food orders accurately.
• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso, and other specialty beverages according to recipes and standards.
• Operate coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and POS systems efficiently.
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality of all drinks served.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the café area, including tables, counters, and equipment.
• Refill stock items such as milk, syrups, coffee beans, and packaging materials as needed.
• Handle customer feedback or complaints professionally and escalate when necessary.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures as per company and FSSAI standards.
• Support team members in daily opening and closing activities.
• Promote menu items, special offers, and loyalty programs to increase sales.

Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Barista or in a customer-facing role (preferred).
• Basic knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and café operations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and hygiene.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Educational Qualification: 10th/12th pass or Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management or F&B Service (preferred).

Work Schedule

• 9-hour shift (rotational as per store schedule)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
