Job Title: Kitchen Bakery Staff Department: Food & Beverage / Hospitality Reports To: Head Chef / Kitchen Manager Job Purpose The Kitchen Bakery Staff is responsible for preparing, baking, decorating, and presenting bakery products such as bread, cakes, pastries, and desserts. The role ensures hygiene, quality standards, and timely delivery of baked goods to support the restaurant, café, or catering operations. Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesDaily Responsibilities · Prepare, bake, and decorate bakery items (bread, cakes, pastries, cookies, etc.) · Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the bakery and kitchen area · Ensure proper storage of ingredients and baked products · Follow recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards · Monitor oven temperatures, mixing processes, and baking times · Maintain daily production logs and report shortages Weekly Responsibilities · Plan weekly production schedules based on demand · Assist in stock-taking of raw materials and ingredients · Support new recipe trials and product development · Check and maintain kitchen equipment in working order · Train junior staff or kitchen helpers when required Monthly Responsibilities · Prepare monthly inventory and report wastage · Review customer feedback on bakery products · Suggest new bakery items and seasonal products · Coordinate with procurement for raw material requirements · Participate in internal audits (hygiene, safety, quality) Skills & Competencies · Knowledge of bakery techniques and dessert preparation · Ability to decorate cakes and pastries creatively · Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards (FSSAI/HACCP) · Good organizational and time management skills · Team player with a passion for baking Qualifications Diploma / Certification in Bakery & Confectionery or equivalent 2–4 years of experience in bakery operations (hotel, restaurant, or standalone bakery) Knowledge of modern baking equipment and digital recipe systems Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month Benefits: Health insurance Leave encashment Life insurance Paid sick time Provident Fund Work Location: In person
