Role Overview

Assistant Manager / Manager

Key Responsibilities

Technology & Domain Expertise

• Strong experience in one or more banking technology domains:
  Core Banking, Lending/Loan Management, CRM, Trade Finance.
• Deliver business value through technology and system modernization.
• Provide insights on digital platforms, architecture, and banking technology best practices.

Technology Transformation Delivery

• Lead large-scale technology transformation programs across retail and corporate banking.
• Own delivery across internal teams, client stakeholders, and vendors.
• Align business and IT teams, delivering scalable, agile, and reusable solutions.

Hands-On Technical Contribution

• Participate in design and implementation of digital solutions across the customer lifecycle.
• Exposure to coding/programming, system design, APIs, cloud, AI/ML, mobility, and automation.
• Drive IT strategy, legacy/core application modernization, and enterprise architecture initiatives.

Consulting & Client Management

• Lead end-to-end consulting engagements for financial institutions.
• Build and maintain senior client relationships (CIO, CTO, Digital Heads).
• Identify opportunities to expand Grant Thorntons advisory footprint.
• Support proposal preparation and thought leadership initiatives.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with product, architecture, digital, and delivery teams to ensure high-quality project delivery.

Skills & Attributes for Success

Education

• MBA preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Applications, IT, or related fields.

Experience

• 8–12 years post-qualification experience, including 

  minimum 2 years in consulting

  .
• Strong expertise in financial services, digital banking, technology strategy, and solution implementation.

• Deep understanding of banking products, systems, and regulatory requirements.
• Exposure to emerging technologies: APIs, Microservices, AI/ML, Cloud, Mobility, Automation.
• Translate business requirements into effective technology solutions.
