Resident Medical Officer (BAMS) — Healthcare | Primary & Community Clinical ServicesOpportunity to join a clinical services team operating in the primary and community healthcare sector, delivering on-site outpatient and inpatient care, emergency stabilization, and preventive health services in Talwandi Sabo (Bathinda), Punjab. This is an on-site RMO role serving a high-volume local clinic and community health programs, requiring hands-on patient management and strong clinical governance.Role & Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day clinical care in OPD and IPD: assess patients, diagnose, prescribe and follow-up using evidence-based Ayurvedic and supportive medical protocols.
  • Stabilize and manage acute presentations: perform triage, initial emergency interventions, IV cannulation and arrange timely referrals to higher centres when required.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and medication records in the clinic log / EMR; ensure prescriptions and treatment plans are compliant with regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate with nursing and support staff to deliver safe inpatient care, including monitoring vitals, wound care, and administering medications.
  • Lead community outreach initiatives and preventive health camps as scheduled; support vaccination drives and public health education activities.
  • Ensure clinic hygiene, infection control, stock management of essential medicines and medical consumables; escalate supply gaps promptly.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Degree: BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery)
  • Registration: Active registration with the State Ayurvedic Council
  • Proven clinical experience working in outpatient/inpatient settings (clinical internships or prior RMO roles)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Hands-on competence in emergency triage and intravenous cannulation
  • Ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation and work with basic EMR or clinic logs

Preferred

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Prior exposure to community health programs or rural clinic practice
  • Experience with Ayurvedic therapeutic procedures relevant to outpatient care

On-site at Talwandi Sabo, Bathinda (Natt Road area near New Indane Gas Agency).
