Key responsibilities

  • Food preparation and baking:

    Assist in preparing high-quality breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods by measuring and mixing ingredients according to recipes.
  • Equipment operation:

    Safely operate kitchen and baking equipment, such as ovens, mixers, and proofers.
  • Quality control:

    Ensure all products meet taste, appearance, and quality standards before service.
  • Kitchen hygiene and safety:

    Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, equipment, and utensils. Follow all food safety and hygiene protocols, including personal hygiene procedures.
  • Inventory management:

    Monitor ingredients and supplies, assist with stock rotation, and inform senior staff about shortages to minimize waste.
  • Team collaboration:

    Work with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and support senior chefs.
  • Learning and development:

    Show a commitment to learning new techniques and recipes to support menu development.
