Baker

Job Summary: We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Baker to support daily baking operations. The role involves preparing ingredients, assisting with dough mixing and shaping, operating baking equipment, and ensuring a clean and organized kitchen environment. The Assistant Baker will work closely with the Head Baker/Chef to maintain quality, consistency, and efficiency in all baked goods. Key Responsibilities: Assist in preparing, measuring, and mixing ingredients for bread, cakes, pastries, and other baked products. Support in kneading, shaping, proofing, and baking dough. Operate baking equipment (mixers, ovens, sheeters, etc.) safely and efficiently. Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure consistent quality. Decorate or finish baked goods as instructed (glazing, icing, garnishing). Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area as per food safety standards. Stock, rotate, and organize ingredients and baking supplies. Assist in inventory management and inform the Head Baker about shortages. Follow recipes, instructions, and production schedules accurately. Support in packing, labeling, and displaying baked products. Requirements: Prior experience in baking, pastry, or kitchen assistance preferred (freshers with passion for baking can also apply). Basic knowledge of baking techniques and food safety. Ability to follow instructions, recipes, and maintain consistency. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Physical stamina to stand for long hours and handle kitchen equipment. Team player with good communication and time-management skills. Work Environment: Fast-paced bakery/kitchen environment. Early morning or flexible shifts may be required.
