Backup & Recovery Management:
- Primary expertise in VEEAM Backup
  ; familiarity with
  Commvault, PPDM, Azure, Avamar, Networker, Arcserve, and Rubrik
  is a plus.
- Knowledge of
  backup technologies
  : File/Server Backup, Exchange Archival, Bare Metal Backup, Cloud Backup, Database Backup, Virtual Host Backup, and System Restores.
- Monitor and troubleshoot backups
  to ensure timely and error-free execution.
- Perform
  disaster recovery scenarios
  and
  system restores
  as needed.
- Manage backup schedules
  , execute
  ad-hoc backup requests
  , and optimize backup environments.

Storage Management & Administration:
- Provide
  tiered operational support
  for
  storage environments
  with deep technical expertise.
- Manage
  storage allocation, deallocation, and expansion
  based on business needs.
- Troubleshoot
  replication errors
  and perform
  backup environment system tuning
  .
- Maintain
  backup policies, standards, and compliance
  .
- Oversee
  backup hardware maintenance
  , including servers, disk storage, and tape storage devices.
- Research & audit
  backup and storage systems for
  performance, security, and availability
  .

Troubleshooting & Optimization:
- Troubleshoot
  complex storage and backup issues
  to ensure high availability and security.
- Maintain
  SAN, NAS, RAID, and SCSI
  storage systems;
  iSCSI experience is a plus
  .
- Ensure
  cost-effective and operationally supportable solutions
  aligned with SLAs.
- Perform
  storage system capacity planning
  and adopt new backup and storage activities as needed.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management:
- Engage with
  vendors for hardware/software support
  and
  contract management
  .
- Work closely with IT teams and business stakeholders to ensure
  backup and storage solutions
  meet organizational requirements.
