Description
As a Backend Developer at WCS India, your primary responsibility will be to turn user interface and experience designs into reality by developing the APIs that drive them. You will work closely with a skilled team of professionals including product owners, front-end software engineers, mobile engineers, and UI/UX designers to deliver incremental value to clients. Your ideas and perspectives will play a crucial role in ensuring that the team builds the right things in the right way. Key Responsibilities: - Help other developers be more productive and effective through the code they write and the decisions they make. - Write clean, testable, peer-reviewed code that serves as a model for the team. - Design, build, and test core APIs. - Research, design, and implement integrations with 3rd party products. - Ensure adherence to current best practices and standards in all code being written. - Engage in pair programming with other engineers. - Participate in scrum ceremonies. Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of professional experience. - Full-stack technical expertise from front-end to back-end, with a focus on backend development (database, business logic, cloud setup, APIs, etc.). - Ability to analyze and decompose problems into potential technical solutions. - Agile practitioner with experience in Scrum. - Proficiency with version control systems such as GitLab or GitHub. - Highly proficient with the LAMP stack and MVC pattern. - Good understanding of CI/CD tools and procedures, including DevOps pipelines. - Recent experience with developing and deploying solutions in a cloud computing environment (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is preferred. - Excellent PHP knowledge and experience with Laravel. - Exceptional Object-oriented JavaScript skills. - Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle.
