We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Backend Developer with strong expertise in PHP and the Laravel framework. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing backend systems and APIs that power our applications. You will work closely with front-end developers, designers, and product managers to deliver scalable and efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using PHP (Laravel framework).
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following best practices.
• Manage and optimize databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), including schema design and query performance.
• Integrate third-party services, payment gateways, and APIs.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration between backend and frontend.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and data security measures.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing applications.
• Write unit tests and perform code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and suggest improvements to enhance system performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Backend Developer with at least 2–5 years of hands-on PHP Laravel development.
• Strong proficiency in PHP 7/8 and Laravel framework.
• Experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL and query optimization.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, MVC architecture, and OOP principles.
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket).
• Familiarity with queue systems (Redis, RabbitMQ) and caching mechanisms.
• Understanding of server deployment, cloud hosting (AWS, DigitalOcean, etc.), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with microservices architecture and API-driven development.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (Vue.js, React, or Angular) for better collaboration.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized environments.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks (PHPUnit, Pest).
• Previous work on scalable SaaS or e-commerce applications.
