Backend Developer in Kolkata

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain the server-side logic, databases, and APIs of web applications
• Develop scalable and secure back-end systems using languages such as Node.js, Python, Java, PHP, or Ruby
• Create and manage databases (SQL or NoSQL) and ensure efficient data storage, access, and integrity
• Develop RESTful or GraphQL APIs for front-end integration and third-party services
• Optimize application performance, latency, and scalability under various load conditions
• Implement user authentication, authorization, and data protection using secure protocols
• Collaborate closely with front-end developers, DevOps engineers, and designers to deliver complete solutions
• Integrate external services, payment gateways, cloud storage, and other third-party APIs
• Write clean, modular, well-documented code following coding standards and best practices
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and debug server-side issues effectively
• Use version control systems like Git to manage the codebase and support collaborative development
• Monitor server performance and troubleshoot server errors, database bottlenecks, or API failures
• Deploy applications using CI/CD pipelines and work with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Maintain application security standards and patch vulnerabilities in a timely manner
