Position: Backend Developer

Company: Skill College

Location: Isckon, Ahmedabad

Time: 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM

Job Overview:

We are looking for a talented and motivated Backend Developer to join our growing team in Ahmedabad. In this role, you will develop and maintain backend systems and APIs that power our scalable edtech platform.

About Us:

Skill College (formerly Drona Education Foundation) is a next-generation educational platform committed to transforming traditional higher education through skill-based, industry-integrated programs. We offer internship-embedded degree courses like Skill B.Com, Skill BBA, Skill BCA, B.Voc, and other employment-oriented programs in fields such as Management, IT, Finance, Digital Marketing, Healthcare, Design, and Entrepreneurship.

We are currently present in 7 cities, including Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot, and Vadodara, etc and are partnered with 7+ colleges across Gujarat. With over 2,800 enrolled students, 2,000+ industry tie-ups for internships and final placements, and 8+ in-demand specializations, Skill College is building India’s future-ready workforce.

Responsibilities:

Develop backend services using Python & FastAPI
Manage PostgreSQL databases
Build and integrate RESTful APIs
Ensure system performance and resolve bugs
Collaborate with product and frontend teams

Required Skills:

Strong experience in Python backend development
Proficiency in FastAPI
Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational databases
Understanding of RESTful API architecture
Familiarity with version control tools like Git & GitHub
Analytical mindset with good debugging and problem-solving skills

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, or a related field.
