Backend Developer

You will be joining BlackLight Games as a Backend Developer in Noida. BlackLight Games brings culturally relevant synchronous multiplayer gaming experiences to mobile platforms. Their games, including Ludo SuperStar, CallBreak, Carrom, Solitaire, Spider Solitaire, and Word games, have been widely popular with over 1 million players daily and more than 100 million downloads for Ludo SuperStar alone. **Role Overview:** As a Backend Developer at BlackLight Games, you will be responsible for developing serverless applications using public cloud services like Google Cloud and AWS. You should have expertise in Node.js and databases such as MySQL and MongoDB. Your role will involve understanding asynchronous programming, distributed system development, scalability, and reliability. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop serverless applications on Google Cloud and AWS - Utilize Node.js and associated frameworks - Proficiency in JavaScript and asynchronous programming - Design scalable application architectures - Work with services like AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, Firebase Real Time Database, etc. - Create database schemas supporting business processes - Integrate multiple data sources into a unified system - Deploy, maintain, and debug live systems - Build micro-services and REST APIs - Develop data processing pipelines - Implement code reviews and DevSecOps security practices - Familiarity with CI/CD tools and Project Management methodologies - Explore new frameworks and technologies **Qualifications Required:** - B.Tech/ MCA / M.Tech / M.Sc or relevant professional experience in Computer Science - More than 3 years of experience in serverless application development - Expertise in Node.js, MySQL, and MongoDB - Experience with Google Cloud Project and Firebase is a plus - Strong understanding of NoSQL and SQL databases - Knowledge of AWS, Google certifications, and security practices - Familiarity with object storage, in-memory caches, and application monitoring tools - Comfortable with multiple programming languages and Github - Experience in a Product industry and open-source contributions BlackLight Games offers a high-growth startup environment with learning opportunities, a talented team, informal work culture, casual dress code, outings, and trips.
