Back End Storage Developer S3

In the role of Back End Storage Developer, you would be responsible for Design,development and testing of individual product features for IBM family of storageproducts, IBM Software Defined Storage portfolio & IBM cloud storage services.You will be owning and driving product functionality as SME and represent in globalproduct teams. In addition, you may play the role of Scrum master to facilitate Dailyscrum, ceremonies, backlog refinement and retrospectives by adopting Agilemethodologies.You will work with the senior technical leaders and manager in effectively managingthe requirements and deliverables through your technical skills and prior experience.Roles and Responsibilities Required education Bachelor's Degree Preferred education Bachelor's Degree Required technical and professional expertise 6 - 14 years of industry experience in Filesystems, Storage systems Software.Experience with Virtualization/containerization is an added advantage.Strong development experience with object/file protocols like S3, NFS, SMBetc. Experience with protocols in enterprise-grade NAS/SDS solutions is anadded advantage.Strong experience of software product development, debug and test using Golanguage, python and scripting languages.Good understanding of storage systems, object storage, filesystems etc.Product development/usage experience on Linux/Windows operating systemsand user level programming and test. Basic User level Linux andadministration is desired.Experience in Systems/Storage domains, Storage controllers and features likeHigh availability, DR, Replication, Snapshot technologies.Ability to take ownership of feature development and meticulously evaluateproduct requirements, identify dependencies, execute development tasks andtesting. Ability to crisply communicate with QA and other teams to define testrequirements and support integration.Good problem-solving skills for complex issues with interdependencies acrossmultiple modules.Ability to crisply communicate across geographies and all stake holders(clients and level 3 support teams) for resolving field issues. Good expertise ofworking with Global teamsKnowledge and hand-on usage of code and defect management tools.Good written/verbal communication skills to report program status crisply andaccurately.Good technical leadership skills to mentor and train new team members. Preferred technical and professional experience Proven Storage domain knowledge with hands-on experience on storagesoftware stack implementation and debugging on Linux operating systemsExperience with Agile processes of project deliveryIdea on working model of Hybrid cloud environment (AWS/Azure/other cloudenvironment) is an added advantage.
