Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated Back-End Developer Intern with a passion for building scalable server-side solutions and a strong interest in Firebase technologies. In this role, you will work with the development team to design, build, and manage backend logic, APIs, and cloud infrastructure supporting web and mobile applications. This internship gives you hands-on exposure to real projects utilizing Firebase services, database modeling, and API development. 

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with front-end and mobile developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. 
• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using Firebase (Firestore, Cloud Functions, Authentication, Storage). 
• Implement and optimize scalable Firestore data models and real-time data sync workflows. 
• Write clean, reusable, and efficient back-end code, adhering to security best practices. 
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve backend issues, supporting deployment pipelines as needed. 
• Set up and enforce Firebase security rules and permissions. 
• Stay updated on new features in Firebase and modern backend best practices. 
• Document code and assist in code reviews, contributing to team learning and improvement. 

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degree in computer science, ( B.Sc. CS/IT, AI/ML), Software Engineering, or a related field. 
• Good programming skills in at least one backend language (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Vue.js or Node.js). 
• Basic understanding of back-end development fundamentals, REST APIs, and authentication flows. 
• Familiarity with Firebase services, especially Firestore, Authentication, Cloud Functions, and Storage. 
• Exposure to database structure, modeling, and migration is a plus. 
• Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git). 
• Good problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail. 
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
