Role Overview: You will be responsible for designing and developing new diesel engine components and systems, such as cylinder blocks, cylinder heads, crankshafts, connecting rods, pistons, valvetrain components, fuel systems, lubrication systems, cooling systems, and exhaust systems. Your role will involve utilizing CAD software to create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings, conducting engineering calculations and simulations to validate designs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, participating in design reviews, investigating design-related issues, and preparing technical documentation. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop new diesel engine components and systems - Utilize CAD software to create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings - Conduct engineering calculations and simulations to validate designs - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design manufacturability and performance - Participate in design reviews and provide technical input for product enhancement - Investigate and resolve design-related issues, implement corrective actions, and document changes - Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in diesel engine design and manufacturing - Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation for design projects - Contribute to intellectual property development through patents and trade secrets Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field - 15 years of experience in diesel engine design, development, or a closely related field - Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo) - Strong understanding of internal combustion engine theory, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer - Experience with FEA and/or CFD simulation tools is highly desirable - Knowledge of various manufacturing processes (e.g., casting, forging, machining, welding) - Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and tolerance stack-up analysis - Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills,
