Job Description

Job Title: Azure SQL Database Administrator (with PowerShell & Automation) Experience Required: 4 to 6 Years Location: Hyderabad / Bangalore - Hybrid Joining Timeline: Immediate to 15 Days Preferred Job Description: We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Azure SQL Database Administrator with strong expertise in Elastic Pools , PowerShell scripting , and SQL automation tools like SqlPackage . The ideal candidate will have experience in managing large-scale multi-tenant environments and automating database operations to drive efficiency and scalability. Key Responsibilities: Manage and optimize Azure SQL Server environments, particularly focusing on Elastic Pools . Handle administration of 500+ tenant databases in a scalable cloud environment. Automate deployment, monitoring, and routine database operations using PowerShell scripting . Use SqlPackage for schema and data migration via .bacpac files. Design and execute decatenation strategies for separating tenant databases with minimal impact. Monitor and manage resources in the Azure Portal , including access and performance tuning. Collaborate with DevOps and Development teams to ensure smooth DB operations and CI/CD integration. Must-Have Skills: Strong experience with Azure SQL Server & Elastic Pools . Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation. Expertise in SqlPackage (.bacpac import/export for schema & data). Experience in managing multi-tenant architectures and handling large database volumes . Hands-on experience with Azure Portal , including monitoring and access control. Knowledge of decatenation and tenant database separation strategies. Nice-to-Have Skills: Familiarity with Azure DevOps Pipelines . Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
