We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to ensure the stability, performance, and scalability of our Data Transformation Platform hosted on Microsoft Azure. This role combines operational ownership for maintaining uptime with delivery of new features and enhancements based on stakeholder needs. You will design, build, and optimize cloud infrastructure, CI/CD workflows, and data pipelines using tools such as Azure Databricks, Terraform, and Azure DevOps. Collaboration with data engineers, developers, and security teams will be central to your success.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure high availability and performance of the Data Transformation Platform.
Design and implement scalable, reliable Azure DevOps pipelines for infrastructure and data workflows.
Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and security teams to deliver robust solutions.
Support ingestion and transformation pipelines in partnership with development teams.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date platform documentation, including new features and enhancements.
Participate in an on-call support rotation for out-of-hours incident response.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong, hands-on expertise with Azure Cloud services, Databricks, and data integration workflows.
Proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) in Azure.
Solid understanding of Azure networking (VNets, NSGs, VPNs, Private Endpoints, DNS).
Experience building and managing Azure DevOps pipelines for infrastructure, code, and data workflows.
Familiarity with monitoring and logging using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or equivalent tools.
Scripting proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
Knowledge of cloud security best practices (IAM, RBAC, Key Vault, policies).
Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
Prior experience in data platform engineering teams preferred.
