Azure Database Administrator

Role & responsibilities

• Strong experience in application support, production support, or software maintenance (Level 2 / Level 3).
• Hands-on expertise in

  debugging, incident analysis

  , and root-cause identification.
• Good understanding of cloud platforms (Azure preferred) including VMs, networking basics, storage, and monitoring.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines

  , DevOps lifecycle, and deployment troubleshooting.

• Solid knowledge of SQL queries, database performance basics

  , and troubleshooting issues related to DB workflows.
• Ability to read and understand code logic (JSON , Python, Java, or relevant stack depending on your environment).
• Strong exposure to ITIL processesincident, problem, and change management.
• Ability to coordinate with internal teams (

  DBA, Infra, Network

  ) and follow through on dependencies.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, handle escalations, and provide status updates.

Preferred candidate profile

• End-to-end application support for enterprise platforms.
• Incident resolution, troubleshooting complex production issues, and ensuring minimal downtime.
• Coordinating with cross-functional teams (Infra, DBA, Network, Dev teams) to resolve dependencies.
• Providing client communication and managing expectations with clear, timely updates.
• Analyzing recurring issues and driving permanent fixes via problem management.
• Monitoring system performance and ensuring service availability.
• Participating in upgrade activities, deployments, and environment validations.
• Supporting DevOps improvements and optimizing existing workflows.
• Documenting SOPs, known errors, and support procedures for smoother operations.
